Position Description
 
Position: Vice President, Sales Manager – Property & Casualty
Reports to: Senior Vice President, Property & Casualty
Location: Columbia, Maryland/Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania
Salary: $100,000 – $200,000 (range is a historical combination of salary and bonus).
Relocation Package: Negotiable
Travel Required: Yes. Ten percent (Baltimore, MD to Washington, DC and Philadelphia areas), with some overnight stays.

Primary Role:
Ultimate accountability for achieving P&C division sales goals, cross serve objectives, and the high production of its P&C producers. Initiation, coordination and monitoring of sales planning process, including the achievement of sales team's objectives for the mid-Atlantic P&C operation. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for hiring four producer/trainees for our client’s mid-market sector; and the recruitment of two producers for their small commercial department.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge and experience in property & casualty, sales management, sales planning, sales training, coaching, and marketing and advertising. Leadership, analytical and decision-making abilities vital. Ability to motivate others to success.
Duties:
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, monitor, and reward producers.
  • Develop, establish and monitor validation schedules for all new producers.
  • Work with producers to develop sales and marketing strategies, identify resources to assist them in achieving their goals.
  • Work with all producers in developing the agency's sales plan.
  • Hold regular sales meetings to cover sales plans, educational training, and production progress.
  • Maintain personal prospect list of clients for agency's targeted business.
  • Contact prospects schedule appointments and make sales presentations.
  • Participate in/direct any special projects at the Senior Vice President, Property & Casualty request.
  • Monitor use and training in SalesForce.com
