Position: Unit Manager - Commercial Property & Casualty, Enterprise Services |
Reports to: Senior Vice President/Director of Commercial Insurance Operations, Property & Casualty. |

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000+ plus “Partners In Profit” program contingent upon performance of the company overall and individual contributions. |

Primary Role/Duties: |
- Assess and Develop All Unit Associates.
- Manage the Renewal Process for the Unit (Pre-renewal and Post-renewal).
- Manage the Cross Sell Efforts of the Unit.
- Manage the New Business for the Unit (as appropriate).
- Negotiate and persuade to achieve objectives.
- Provide leadership and problem solving skills, including ability to interpret financial information and date to facilitate decision-making.
- Participation in discussions with other management team members on critical issues.
- Ensure compliance with Human Resource Policies and Procedures.
- Recruit and Retain Associates.
- Manage the Coordinating of all Support Services for the Unit
- Prevent Errors and Omissions.
- Develop Market Contacts.

Qualifications: |
Strong knowledge and experience in property & casualty, sales management, sales planning, sales training, coaching, and marketing and advertising. Leadership, analytical and decision-making abilities vital. Ability to motivate others to success. |
- Extensive working knowledge of commercial property/casualty coverages, service, and programs.
- Extensive experience in marketing and servicing the insurance needs of commercial accounts.
- Fully understands the concept, issues, and overall impact of market pricing.
- Consistently demonstrated ability to instill confidence with clients so that the client looks to you and to our client as more than just an insurance broker, but as a partner in business.
- Extensive experience in evaluating client needs for risk management services.
- Consistently proven ability to organize and manage time in order to meet deadlines.
- Ability to assess, coach and mentor unit associates.
- Ability to identify developmental needs of Associates
- Ability to effectively interview and hire prospective Associates.
- Firm understanding of Human Resource policies and procedures and ability to implement and/or know when to escalate. Proven ability to handle management issues: Associates, Projects, Resources, etc.
- Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision-making.
- Consistently demonstrated high analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Consistently demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with Associates at all levels of responsibility.
- Personal presence to interface with top management of other businesses, representing our client in the highest professional manner.
- Demonstrated presentation skills (preparation and execution).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software applications.
- Ability to multi-task and handle stress in a healthy and productive manner.
- Expanded industry knowledge through experience and/or course work.
